Foundation Repair
Your safety is always the biggest concern. If your building has foundation problems, it can affect the safety, appearance, and value of your building. In order to effectively repair issues with your foundation, we must first diagnose the problem. Some common problems are:
- Foundation cracks, wall/floor cracks and other fractures- Over time your structure can experience movement, which may cause shifts and gaps that can cause serious concerns to your foundation. Horizontal cracks are an indication that your building’s perimeter foundation is under a lot of pressure.
- Foundation settling or sinking- You may notice that one side of your building is lower than the other. If this is the case your foundation may need to be lifted.
- Doors that stick out or don’t close properly- This issue affects slab, pier and beam foundations.
- Gaps around window frames or exterior doors- When something is wrong with your foundation, double doors don’t properly align.
- A damp crawl space- Heavy moisture in the crawl space can be a sign of problems with the foundation. The moisture can attract termites and cause beams beneath your house to rot. It also can create a musty smell making it even more important to get your foundation fixed.
- Other problems can be counters and cabinets separating from the wall, sagging or uneven floors, and foundation upheaval.
